Wednesday, June 30, 2021, the Urban and Regional Planning Community held the Urban Research Forum+ (URF+) 2021 Seminar Series #1 with the topic “The Future of Indonesian Cities: Research Agenda, Innovations, and Planning Education Program”. This seminar invited four speakers, namely Prof. Achmad Djunaedi (PWK UGM), Prof. Sudaryono (PWK UGM), Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono (PWK UGM), and Prof. Bakti Setiawan (PWK UGM). In addition to the four speakers, this seminar also invited two other speakers, namely Prof. Tommy Firman (SAPPK ITB) and Prof. Imam Buchori (PWK Undip). This seminar was moderated by Dr. Tri Mulyani Sunarharum and Prof. Setiawan devotion .
The discussion was divided into four topic presentation sessions and continued with discussion and question sessions by the discussants. The first session was a topic presentation from Prof. Achmad Djunaedi on “The Future of Smart Cities in Indonesia”. On this occasion, the UGM PWK Community presented a memento in the form of a video as a form of gratitude to Prof. Achmad Djuanedi who has completed his tenure as a Civil Servant (PNS). The second session was the presentation of Prof. Sudaryono on “Entropy Paradigm for the Future Direction of Indonesian Cities”. The third session is the presentation by Prof. Bambang Hari Wibosono who explained about “Urban Design for Sustainable Urban Transformation”, and the last session was Prof. Bakti Setiawan related to “Beyond Planning: Leadership, Innovations,
The seminar session has been completed, followed by the UGM Urban and Regional Planning Open House. The Open House is a series of events to introduce undergraduate to doctoral programs in the Regional Planning Study Program and UGM. The undergraduate program is filled by Dr. Yori Herwangi as the head of the undergraduate program, the master’s program by Dr. Eng Muhammad Sani Roychansyah as the head of the master’s program, and the doctoral program by Prof. Bambang Hari Wibisono as a promoter in the doctoral program.
The Urban Research Forum+ Seminar Series #1 event took place smoothly through the Zoom meeting platform and Live Youtube. A total of 780 participants enthusiastically participated in this event by following the event to completion.
