MPKD – UGM. On Monday, August 14, 2017, MPKD (Master of Urban and Regional Planning) and Undergraduate Program of Urban and Regional Planning UGM, held a general lecture to welcome the new academic year 2017/2018. This lecture was given by Muhammad Nurdin, Director General of Transmigration Area Development, who is also an alumnus of MPKD UGM.

Mr. Nurdin started a public lecture which entitled “Development of Transmigration Area: Independent Integrated Independent City”with an unequal distribution of the population of Indonesia, thus inflicting the issue of social and spatial inequality. With the high rate of poverty in Indonesia, unequal gini index value between urban and rural areas, the gap of inter-regional development, as well as the high rate of urbanization, it takes the solution so that the development process in Indonesia will be more equitable. The solution is to develop transmigration areas with regional and cluster approaches. read more

MPKD – UGM. MPKD UGM has various quality assurance system, from internal (program) to national level (BAN PT – National Accreditation of Higher Education Institution). As the mandatory for operation of each program in university level in Indonesia, MPKD also has the accreditation from BAN PT which has A qualification.
